I began my advertising career as a copywriter at Young & Rubicam London. Since then, I have worked in all agencies great and small. Along the way, I have been lucky enough to work with some of the finest creative minds – producing work that I am incredibly proud of.

I have been a creative director. I have co-founded my own agency, launched a magazine, written a promotional biography, named and launched a range of Indian food, co-directed television and radio commercials and podcasts, won a comedy award, starred in a TV ad, penned short stories, been the first voice of Foster’s Lager on Twitter and written kid’s cartoons.

I have worked with clients from many different sectors. Everything from dog food to diamond corporations. Experiencing such contrasting worlds has allowed me to absorb different viewpoints and develop a greater understanding of people. And dogs.

Applying this life experience in such a diverse creative field gives me a broader insight and overview. Writing brochure copy is no different to writing a TV spot – it’s all about creating simple, big ideas and connecting people. An art director once said I was a rarity in that I have ‘an advertising brain’.

I do!  It’s how my head works. It’s a true pleasure to form a concept and see it right through to the finished product. When I’m not doing that, I can be found pursuing interests including architecture, history, film, music and finding a decent pint. I am an enthusiastic oil painter and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
